Pushing Ahead Not Falling Out of the Proposal Pack
The proposal process can be challenging. Proposal managers and other staff may expend endless months to prepare, coordinate, and produce the final proposal response to a solicitation or request for proposal. A stringent proposal preparation approach should heed the mantra, "If you don't have time to do it right the first time, where will you find time to do it over?"
- Follow instructions. RFPs, program announcements, Invitations for Bids, solicitations, synopses, and amendment instructions should be completed as directed. Submit requirements as requested including format, method and deadline.
- Approach with Caution. Proposals should be accurate in accounting for staff, quantities, figures, numbers, page numbers, from start through last page of proposal and supporting collateral. Non compliance, and errors can be fatal.
